Probably a lot of you folks are wondering if BIP is prepared big time for excel, well the answer is somewhere in the middle. I mean that with enough effort you will probably be able to generate the desired report in excel based on the RTF template.
The most important feature of excel is the possibility to calculate complex formulas and reuse the values in even more complex formulas.
The target of this blog is to present and find the most common uses of excel features that can be already be done through an RTF template. For sure we are waiting for Oracle guys to bring one day the BIP version that will be able to generate excel report easy and flexible.
